iJoin’s “IRA ClarityTM” Automates Rollover Suitability and Continuity of Advice

February 03, 2025
An all-new process supported by Broadridge and NextLevel IRATM helps plan advisors retain assets

iJoin, a leading retirement plan technology innovator, has announced the availability of “IRA ClarityTM,” an all-new Voluntary/Advisor Directed IRA rollover process for 401(k) plan advisors. The automated workflow identifies and engages eligible participants, and seamlessly integrates Broadridge’s Decision Optimizer to determine suitability and PenCheck’s NextLevel IRATM account opening technology and IRA platform. The result is an unparalleled end-to-end solution that helps advisors retain assets while providing continuity of advice.

IRA Clarity is a comprehensive process addressing voluntary IRAs that includes:

  • Identifying rollover candidates based on advisor-defined criteria
  • Sending email invitations to candidate participants
  • Conducting identity verification (KYC) via PenChecks
  • Performing suitability analysis via Broadridge’s Decision Optimizer, when advisor directed
  • Sending advisor-approved welcome emails
  • Inviting participants to complete a goals-based account opening process
  • Funding new accounts and assigning the advisor’s selected managed advice solution
  • Access to ongoing monitoring and engagement tools via iJoin’s ACT portal

Steve McCoy, CEO of iJoin:

“One of our core goals is to help millions of retiring workers continue to have the opportunity to benefit from goals-based investing strategies with cost-effective managed advice solutions. Our new Voluntary/Advisor Directed IRA automation technology realizes that ambition in partnership with some of our industry’s most forward-acting partners.”

Scott Okrasinski, Chief Revenue Officer for PenChecks:

“We empower advisors and recordkeepers with a seamless IRA solution that helps investors retain assets when changing jobs or retiring, rather than cashing out. By integrating with iJoin’s IRA Clarity, we’re streamlining the rollover process, ensuring advisors can easily guide participants through a simplified, goals-based experience.”

John Faustino, Head of Fi360 at Broadridge:

“We’re thrilled that iJoin has selected our advisor-facing IRA rollover evaluation tool, Decision Optimizer, to integrate into IRA Clarity. There’s great potential for IRA Clarity to drive better investor outcomes by enabling ‘self-serve’ participant engagement and scaling advisor activities associated with IRA rollovers.”

Retirement plan advisors can take advantage of IRA Clarity through a recordkeeper in the iJoin Provider Network or via the PenChecks NextLevel IRA platform. Either pathway provides access to ACT, iJoin’s advisor portal for ongoing analytics, engagement, and reporting. By leveraging partnerships with Broadridge and PenChecks, iJoin ensures a streamlined and compliant experience for both advisors and participants. Advisors can now focus on delivering tailored solutions while participants gain access to simplified, goals-based retirement planning.
